Q. Where can I buy Charter firearms?

Q. Can I shoot +P in my .38 revolver?
A.Charter .38's are among the smallest
revolvers in this caliber. They can handle +P but we do not recommend
a steady diet.
Q. How much is my older Charter firearm worth?
A. The value of a firearm depends on its condition. Please visit Blue Book Publications for further information.
Q. Can I send my gun in for repair or do I have
to visit a retail firearm store?
A. Due to variations and restrictions in state and local regulations, we recommend shipping your revolver through your local gun dealer. This is the easiest and most secure way to return your gun for repairs.
Should you choose to ship your firearm yourself, please abide by the following instructions
Be certain the firearm is unloaded
Include typed or neatly written explanation of the problem(s) or repair(s) to be made.
Include your name, full address and a daytime phone number.
Pack with adequate padding/filler and tape generously to avoid damage.
Address the package discreetly (i.e. do not disclose the contents on the outside of the package).
Insure and ship via UPS or Fed Ex.
Q. Can Charter Arms repair my old Charter firearm?
A. Yes. There is a $49.95 charge that
covers all shipping, handling, and labor. There is also a charge
for any additional parts.
Q. Can Charter Arms polish and re-finish my Charter firearm?
A. Yes. However, we may not be able to correct deep pitting. Cost, depending on condition, is $100.00.
The cost includes stripping the firearm, re-polishing and re-finishing or bead blasting, re-assembly, test firing, and final inspection. (Contact factory for specific repair cost.)
Q. Can I replace a missing piece on the end of the ejector rod?
A. Yes, but you are actually missing
three parts: ejector rod head, ejector rod collar, and ejector rod
collar spring. When ordering, please indicate black or stainless
finish and caliber.
Q. I'm shopping for a revolver and I see the term "ultra-lite" tossed around a lot. What's the standard?
A. "Ultra-lite" is a marketing term--a buzzword. Believe the scale instead. With twelve models weighing between 12 and 16 ounces, Charter's Undercover line offers true ultra-lites.
